President’s Message

Dear Friends and Colleagues

Dear Friends and Colleagues

Greetings to all members of AACIO! As we draw closer to the AHA 2023, I am
thrilled to extend a warm welcome to each one of you for our traditional Fall
2023 AACIO Dinner meeting. The vibrant city of Philadelphia is set to host our
esteemed gathering this year, and what an exciting time it promises to be!

Looking back, our previous dinner meeting that coincided with the ACC at New
Orleans was an overwhelming success. We are deeply humbled by your
consistent support, which has been the bedrock of our growing strength as an organization.

The upcoming AACIO event is something I personally look forward to. We have lined up a
series of scientific presentations, coupled with original research discussions led by our talented
young investigator award winners. I have no doubt that this meeting will be an enlightening
experience for all attendees.

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our industry sponsors. Their unwavering support has
been instrumental in making our events a success.

As we move forward, I would urge each one of you to bring more members into the AACIO fold.
With over 3,500 Indian cardiologists practicing in the US, we possess a formidable voice and
presence. I encourage all Indian cardiologists to register with AACIO, ensuring that we maintain
a steady channel of communication. This will enable us to address pressing concerns affecting
both our community and our profession. The strength and vitality of AACIO rest on its
membership base. Hence, I take this moment to urge all practicing cardiologists to renew their
memberships and consider becoming Life Members. Rest assured; the membership funds are
channeled exclusively towards sustaining our myriad programs.

I am profoundly thankful to our Board Members for their insightful contributions. A special
mention to our AACIO Vice-Presidents, who have worked tirelessly to ensure our organization
functions seamlessly. Dr. Nanda, our Founder President and Chair, AACIO Board of Directors,
deserves a special note of thanks for his enduring guidance. Lindy Chapman, too, has been a
pillar of support with her administrative expertise.

Best regards,
Vishal Gupta, MD, MPH, FACC, FSCAI
President
